When did the Wegovy pill launch in the UK?

The pill formulation received Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) approval on 11 June 2026 and went on sale in UK pharmacies on 6 July 2026, on a private-pay basis. The Wegovy injectable formulation launched in the UK on 4 September 2023. NHS access to the pill depends on a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) appraisal.
