Why this role exists
Our market insights already generate commercial enquiries and work with some of the largest companies in the healthcare market. Someone finds a Rare. article or report through search, reads it, and gets in touch. Recent readers have turned into live briefs and signed projects.
This role takes that and makes it deliberate. You own the path from a published insight to a qualified enquiry: writing the data-led content, getting it found and turning readers into conversations.
What success looks like in the first 6 to 12 months
A predictable publishing schedule that readers and search engines can rely on.
Every high-traffic piece gives the reader a clear way to get in touch, and enquiries from search and artificial intelligence (AI) discovery are higher than they are today.
The founder spends materially less time on content and more time with clients.
Improvements to our generative engine optimisation (GEO) and search engine optimisation (SEO) performance.
What you will do
Plan and write the insight content that draws healthcare commercial teams to us: market-sizing pieces, brand analysis and reports built on Rare.Monitor data. The data and the house style already exist, so you’re not starting from a blank page.
Own organic search and AI discovery. Most of our best enquiries arrive through search, and a growing share now come through AI assistants. Make our content the thing that gets found.
Turn readers into enquiries. Add clear calls to action, gate the right material and fix the high-traffic pages that currently convert no one.
Run distribution through LinkedIn and email, rather than waiting for search alone.
Hold a consistent publishing rhythm. Each piece’s pull fades within weeks, so cadence matters more than any single article.
Hand qualified enquiries to the sales team for business development, with the context that makes the first conversation useful.
Report on what’s working: traffic, enquiries and the content behind them.
What you need
Experience scaling content with support from AI.
Experience managing AI workflows. An agentic workflow underpins the current content production engine.
You write clearly about data. Give you a dataset on a healthcare market and you turn it into a piece a commercial director reads to the end.
You understand inbound. SEO, content strategy and conversion are core skills for you, not add-ons.
You work on your own steam. This is a standalone role, so you set the plan and run it.
You’re comfortable with numbers. You don’t need to be an analyst, but a spreadsheet or chart shouldn’t put you off.
You care about getting it right. Our credibility rests on the data being accurate and the writing being sharp.
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and AI agentic workflows.
Useful, but not essential
Experience in healthcare, pharma, medical devices or business-to-business (B2B) market research.
A track record of content that generated leads, not only traffic.
The team
You report to the founder and Business Development Director and work closely with them on handing over enquiries. This is the first dedicated content role, so you own the channel end to end.
