In the news: Research shows UK Aesthetics Clinics are embracing wellness

Findings from our report “Beyond Injectables: How the Aesthetics Market is embracing Medical Wellness and Longevity” have been featured in Mays edition of the Aesthetics Journal.

“Research by RARE: Group has found that 34% of 3,500 UK aesthetic clinics now offer medical wellness and longevity treatments.

The report, titled Beyond Injectables: How the Aesthetics Market is Embracing Medical Wellness and Longevity, found that between November 2022 and 2023, the levels of patient interest in dermal filler and botulinum toxin decreased by 31% and 16% respectively.

Additionally, the study found that the vast majority of all UK clinics offering medical wellness and longevity treatments (93%) were also providing some form of aesthetic treatment.

The most common wellness procedures offered were found to be functional medicine assessments (51%), followed by weight management programmes (35%), bioidentical HRT prescriptions (35%), stress management techniques (34%, regenerative medicine (34%) and immunotherapy (32%). Vitamin treatments are also increasing 33% year on year.

The concepts of wellness and longevity are now becoming more accessible and measurable to people on the high street. There may even be a component of the times we are in; it is tough out there for lots of people, and, as such, the need to look and feel good is important. Companies should embrace this tend as it reflects an opportunity to understand patient needs more broadly, and increase customer lifetime value”.
